Research question and scope

When a contact moves between queues, does the receiving owner obtain enough authorized context to continue safely without forcing repetition? The cohort includes warm, cold, consultative, and failed transfers for defined contact reasons over one period. The unit follows one customer need from transfer decision through acceptance, fallback, or unresolved cutoff. This September 11 publication is a bounded operational review of evidence available to an outsourced customer-contact workflow.

Primary-source basis

Methodology

Publish the observation period, population, sampling frame, inclusion and exclusion rules, missing-data treatment, coding guide, and denominator with every result.

Inference boundaries

Report observed counts, rates, distributions, disagreements, unknown states, and unresolved records separately. Do not turn an association into a cause, a missing record into proof that an action failed, a control alert into a confirmed incident, or an operational pattern into a judgment about an individual.

Limitations

Recording boundaries may hide the receiving conversation, and repeat explanation can sometimes be a verification requirement rather than failed continuity. Difficult cases may require more transfers. Observed associations do not prove that the transfer caused the outcome. This analysis is not a causal experiment, certification, legal opinion, or universal benchmark.

Operating use

Managers can test transfer introductions, minimum handoff fields, warm-transfer rules, and fallback queues. The evidence does not determine which team should own a client decision. If the operation changes a script, system, access rule, queue, or owner, start a new comparison period and disclose the change.
